Halsey will release her third studio LP, Manic, on January 17th and she’s already letting fans in on more info behind the album.

On Friday, the pop singer revealed a new web series titled Road to Manic. The clip shows a venture across Europe for a bunch of performances as well as Halsey’s performance at the MTV EMAs in Spain. Even more-so, the video shows off Halsey’s excitement about her album release. “You hear an album called ‘Manic’ and you think it’s going to be like, super sad and dark, but it’s not,” she said in the video. “It’s really colourful and kinda funny sometimes and…it’s scary because it’s so much of me, so if people don’t like it, it feels like they don’t like me.”

Halsey adds that, although it’s hard, she wants to leave those fears behind in anticipation for the new album. “Before I can not care about what people think about the album, I have to not care what people think about me, which is so hard to do.”
