Two months ago, Simple Plan and State Champs announced their plans for a fall co-headlining tour with support from We the Kings. We’re now just a few weeks away from the tour kicking off, and the three bands have teamed up for another surprise.
Today, a brand new single “Where I Belong” comes out, one that Simple Plan, State Champs, and We the Kings all came together for. It’s a throwback sounding pop-punk single and masterfully combines all three band’s talents into one rewarding single.
“We’re extremely excited about our upcoming tour with our friends State Champs and We The Kings and we wanted to find a way to make these shows even more special and memorable for our fans. That’s how we came up with the idea of releasing brand new music and our first new song in over 3 years, just a few weeks ahead of the first date of the tour,” Simple Plan explains. “This song is a celebration of 3 bands coming together, collaborating and doing something unique for the pure love of music. It’s back-to-basics, in your face, full of energy and fun with heartfelt lyrics; exactly what our 3 bands love and stand-for. We wrote the song imagining ourselves playing it on stage and having our fans singing along with us at the top of their lungs. Going to shows, whether we’re playing them or just standing in the crowd, is where we belong, and we can’t wait to perform this song with State Champs and We The Kings every single night on this tour! We hope our fans will enjoy it.”
