Today, Caroline Polachek has revealed two tracks from her upcoming album Pang, due out this fall. “Parachute,” the first song written for the album, is a direct transcription of a dream Polachek had written down. Through its lyrics, she accepts her own death only to find herself saved. The track also marked the beginning of her ongoing collaboration with producer and composer Danny L Harle. Coincidentally, “Ocean Of Tears” was the final track written for the album, covering the struggles of loving someone from a distance.

Pang is Polachek’s first full-length release under her own name. The former vocalist of the synthpop band Chairlift has performed under the moniker Ramona Lisa as well as with the group Girl Crisis.
