Today, the multi-talented singer/songwriter/actress dropped a music video for her recently released single, “In My Bed.” The video — shot in Toronto and directed by Phillip R. Lopez (Selena Gomez, Cold War Kids, Pussy Riot, Liam Payne) — the video imagery is meant to reflect the overwhelming thoughts and anxiety that many feel today.

Carpenter will perform the song live for the very first time on Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series July 5th.

“In My Head” comes from the highly anticipated new album from Carpenter, Singular: Act II, which will be released on July 19th via Hollywood Records. Additionally, she also was recently featured on Alan Walker’s new song, “On My Way,“ which has accumulated over 124 million Spotify streams and over 148 million YouTube/Vevo views.

In between recording music, Carpenter took on her first starring film role in The Short History of The Long Road, which recently had its premiere at The Tribeca Film Festival. She will also be seen in the upcoming movies Tall Girl (Netflix) and Work It, in which she’ll star.
