Dublin’s own forest-boy Hozier has shared the official video for “Dinner & Diatribes”, the second single off of his sophomore album, Wasteland, Baby!, released last Friday. The slightly unnerving video, directed by Anthony Byrne (Peaky Blinders), features an Anya Taylor-Joy (also of Peaky Blinders) trapped in a room where she is mind-controlled by a calm and unfazed Hozier. It’s hard to know what exactly is going on, but it plays on strange angles and strategic jump cuts to portray a disconcerting sense of desperation. Watch below.

If you’re Hozier-savvy, you probably saw the video in which he dropped in on NYC fans Wednesday night, giving them the ultimate acoustic performance— in the Rockefeller Centre subway. That’s right folks: in the dirty, dingy, rat-filled subways of New York, Hozier gave a full-on acoustic performance to celebrated the release of his second album, ‘Wasteland Baby!’. In the video below, he can be seen performing one of his new songs, “Almost (Sweet Music)”, released earlier this year as the album’s lead single. We wouldn’t believe it if we didn’t see it ourselves, but we did, via Instagram, in a post that he himself posted. Watch the surprise below.

If you’re mad you weren’t in the subway at the right time, walked right past him on your hurried way home (NYC-style), or live in another city completely, not to worry: Hozier will more than likely be coming to a venue near you very soon. As previously announced, the Dublin singer will be embarking on a widespread U.S. headlining tour in support of ‘Wasteland, Baby!’, which will take him all around the country, and to New York again for a five-day residency at NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom in November.
