Don’t believe the headlines that claim the reign of rock and roll has come to an end. The genre may not have the stranglehold on radio airplay that it once possessed, but there are countless bands pushing rock and roll into new and exciting areas at this very moment. Seeing them all in a short period of time is typically impossible. That is unless you head to Chicago next May.

The organizers for Chicago Open Air Festival have announced the lineup for the 2019 installment of their popular event. The two-day gathering of rock Gods and the people who worship them will take place May 18-19 at SeatGeek Stadium under what will hopefully be sunny skies and high temperatures. System Of A Down will headline day one, while Tool and The Prodigy will headline day two. Additional performances will be provided by Meshuggah, Knocked Loose, Beartooth, Vein, Ghost, Gojira, In The Moment, Fever 333, The Black Dahlia Murder, and more. You can view the complete lineup below.

In addition to enjoying two days of nonstop rock, attendees of Chicago Open Air will be able to indulge in an array of food and beverage options. A variety of local and regional craft beers and delicious Chicago-centric cuisine will be available throughout the venue over the course of the weekend.
