Atlanta’s Mattiel is the artist that Portugal. The Man has playing with them on these shows. Being snagged up by Burger Records Mattiel’s debut album is stunning. Her visuals from artwork to style to sound are intellectually invigorating. You can trust that the headliners know who to bring out on stage. Portugal. The Man was once the best-kept secret now they pass the torch to this danceable rocking badass lady.
As for the main event catch Woodstock their album (including the new single “Feel It Still”) that—with optimism and heart—points at the giant pile and says, “Hey, this pile is fucked up!” And if you think that pile is fucked up too, you owe it to yourself—hell, to all of us—to get out there and do something about it.
