Pröwess and their crew are shaken, but okay.
Rock band Pröwess found themselves in a unique position earlier this week just after beginning their first headlining tour of 2018. While the band was finishing load-out following a gig in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania a man climbed aboard the group’s tour RV and attempted to steal it with members of the band, their crew, and their family still inside. The suspect was able to drive several miles before two members of Pröwess were able to remove the keys from the ignition and subdue the man behind the wheel. No one aboard the RV was hurt, but because the group’s trailer was open during the attempted robbery several pieces of gear and personal belongings did sustain damage.
Following the incident, Pröwess contacted local authorities and made official statements. The group also uploaded a video to Facebook detailing the events immediately following the attempted theft, which you can now view below.

The post accompanying the video reads:
“Well, last night was interesting! As we’re loading out someone decided the hop in our bus and steal it. Our bus was on and idling to warm it up and keep the battery from dying while the trailer lights were on during loadout. As we were carrying gear onto the ramp the bus started to pull away with the ramp still open! Our gear littered the highway. We were able to recover the vehicle quickly. This video details the event. The show itself was awesome, and the people of Burgettstown were very helpful and considerate. We will definitely be back. Although our gear is damaged, and spending the day providing statements to the state police, we are determined to continue on. Show tonight at Howlers in Pittsburgh. Train kept a-rollin. #prowessrocks”
