Last week, Charli XCX announced that her new mixtape, Pop 2, would be arriving this Friday, December 15. Along with the news she released the tape’s first single, the incredibly danceable “Out Of My Head.” With Pop 2 just 4 days away, Charli has wasted little time in releasing new music from the project. Earlier this afternoon she released “Unlock It,” the second song from the mixtape.
Like the rest of Pop 2‘s tracklist, Charli XCX isn’t alone on “Unlock It.” She takes the first verse and the chorus on the shimmering, breakneck track, before Kim Petras jumps in. If the song wasn’t fast enough for you yet, Jay Park jumps in with a verse full of energy that kicks “Unlock It” into hyperdrive.
