Texas has been a source of great music longer than we’ve had radio to hear the sounds people in Texas were able to create. Some scenes dry up over time, but not the Lone Star state. To this day there are half a dozen artists every year who make a splash on the national stage, and in 2017 few young act from the area have the energy or talent behind them of Forever Starts Today.
Originally based in Texas, Forever Starts Today is a five-piece power pop band with a penchant for writing anthemic songs about becoming your best self, overcoming the odds, and generally doing all those things you told yourself you would do. It’s the same thematic area that has given the genre’s biggest bands their first taste of success, and though Forever Starts Today is a younger group their new single “Last One Standing” feels pretty special.
