Bruno Mars released 24K Magic all the way back in November of 2016, but we’re still listening to it like it just came out. It also helps that Mars is still rolling out singles from the album. The latest of these singles is “Versace On The Floor,” an old-school slow jam about an evening centered around Mars, the woman he’s with, and where her Versace dress ends up by the conclusion of the night. Over the weekend Mars released a music video for the track, and he brought in a high-powered star to help out with the visuals.
That star is Zendaya, fresh off her recent appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Here she occupies a hotel room adjacent to Mars, with both rooms featuring fantastic mood lighting, starlit walls, beds, and not much else. As Mars performs in his room, Zendaya listens through the wall, dances around her room, and sings along. As the song progresses and the intensity rises, those stars in the background get brighter and brighter. People have clearly responded to the video, as it’s currently sitting at the top spot on YouTube’s trending list.
Bruno Mars is currently on a stadium tour across the US, with his next performance at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland taking place tomorrow night. You can see a full list of his remaining tour dates here.
