In May, Mariel Loveland and Candy Hearts returned as Best Ex and shared the track “Girlfriend.” Fast forward a month, and there’s now another new track from Best Ex in the form of “Someday,” and a release date for a new EP (via UPSET Magazine).

The track is an upbeat electro-pop jam that looks to the future, both in the sound and in the lyrics. It’s a song about personal growth and the belief in yourself and the world, a promise that things will continue to move forward and improve. It’s a message we could all stand to hear right now, and it comes in a wonderfully pleasing audio form.

The new EP is called Ice Cream Anti Social and is coming on July 14. The EP is six tracks long, and you can pre-order it now.
