Little Dragon have been killing it with music videos recently. They already released videos for “High” and “Sweet” earlier this year, and now there’s yet another video–this time for “Celebrate.” For those like me who like their art on the abstract side, it’s a dream come true.
Like “Sweet” before it, “Celebrate” combines both live-action and animated components into one. There’s beautiful landscape shots next to computer animation that looks like it’s melting off the screen. A few shots of the band are included, plus there’s a piñata that starts bleeding green goo after a stabbing. It’s pretty out there.
The video was directed by Ossain Melin. “Celebrate” is from the band’s recent release, Season High, which was released on April 14. You can purchase or stream the album through a variety of outlets here.
