It’s only been about seven months since pop maestro Fyfe last released new material but it’s felt like forever. When we first caught wind of the young London native way back in 2013 with “Conversations,” we knew he was an artist that we had to keep our eyes and ears on, and he’s proven us right time and time again. Thriving on a foundation of jangly keys and a huge production of synths, bass, finger snaps, guitar flourishes, and more, Fyfe’s smooth vocal delivery slides across the three-and-a-half-minute runtime with the cool confidence we’ve come to expect. Despite likely being taken as a traditional love song, however, Fyfe explains that “Love You More” is actually “the voice of a parent documenting the changing relationship with a growing child. The conflicting desires to protect, but also to see them flourish. Sometimes the most loving thing is to let go.”
