We’ve been listening to Michelle Branch‘s single “Hopeless Romantic” ever since it came out last month. The lyrics spoke to the romantic in all of us, and the great rock vibe had our attention from the first time we pressed play. Now we have another track to add to the rotation, with Branch premiering “Best You Ever,” the second release from her upcoming album Hopeless Romantic, over at Consequence of Sound.

The new track serves as the opener to the new album and contains a brighter sound than “Hopeless Romantic” did. That being said, Branch still expertly infuses a nice, full distorted guitar into the instrumental. The lyrics find Branch after the end of a relationship, but as the title implies she’s making sure to remind her ex that they won’t find anyone better than her. It’s a fun and empowering tune and has us even more excited to hear what the new album has to offer us. Here’s the full song:

Hopeless Romantic‘s release date is quickly approaching; the album is out on April 7 through Verve.
