The weather is beginning to warm slightly, the clock is springing forward next weekend, and those of us who long for summer can begin to dream. One of the best parts of summer is getting out into the country and stargazing. Of course, sometimes you need a soundtrack to go with that experience, and the excellent new track “Baby, I Don’t Mean to Ignore” from Brooklyn artist ACES (Alex Stewart) is just the thing you’ll need (via Consequence of Sound).

The song is the story of the sheepish feeling you get when you start to develop a crush on someone and try to express your affection. It’s incredibly sweet and tender, and the slow warbling synths should thrill any fan of the genre. The moment in the bridge where most of the synths drop away, leaving just the beat and ACES’ voice, is especially breathtaking.

“Baby, I Don’t Mean to Ignore” is off ACES’ upcoming EP Stranger. Look for the EP to drop on April 21. Get yourself cozy and experience the track for yourself now:
