Folk icon Laura Marling has a new album coming, Semper Femina. You don’t have to wait long for it either, as it’s coming March 10. That’s next Friday if you don’t have a calendar handy. In anticipation of the release, Marling has released track “Nothing, Not Really” from the album.

The track is held together in the underpinnings by Marling’s great work on the acoustic guitar. Over top of this is a wailing, bluesy electric guitar that gives the track a warm richness. Marling delivers the lyrics at a breakneck pace, giving the song a sense of urgency to go along with the coziness of the instrumentation. Give it a listen for yourself:

Semper Femina can still be pre-ordered. You can read our review of the album in Substream #56, which is available now.
