If you were to make a list of the hardest working musicians of the 21st century, Andrew McMahon would be near the top of that list. Over multiple projects and years. McMahon has released music at an astounding pace and toured almost non-stop. That’s not going to change in 2018. This afternoon McMahon announced “The Pen & The Piano Tour,” an acoustic tour traveling the US in the spring.

The tour will find McMahon not only performing his tracks, but also talking about the songs and his journey. In the Facebook post announcing the tour, he describes it as “equal parts VH1 Storytellers and Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood.” McMahon will be joined by Allen Stone on most dates, along with Zac Clark and bob oxblood, the latter of whom played with McMahon during the Jack’s Mannequin days.

No matter where you live, chances are Andrew McMahon is coming to a town near you. The tour begins on April 10 in Kansas City, moves through the Midwest and East Coast, and then loops down South and wraps up out West. The final show is on May 24 in Denver. A full list of dates is included below.

Pre-sale tickets for the tour go on sale tomorrow, December 6, at 10am local time, with general sales beginning Friday, December 8, at the same time. As passionate and skilled of a songwriter and storyteller as Andrew McMahon is, chances are this tour will be something special.
