Canadian post-hardcore band Rarity have just returned with two new singles, “Keep It to Yourself” and “Okay.”
The two singles mark the first taste of new music from Rarity in threee years, as well as a sample of what’s to come from their upcoming, to be announced third full-length album that’s due out later this year via New Damage Records.
Rarity vocalist Loeden Learn remarks on the track “Keep It to Yourself”:
“‘Keep It To Yourself’ is a song about the daily mental struggle that keeps us locked in, unable to even leave our room. It captures the challenge of mustering the energy to simply socialize with friends and family, even when you’re otherwise comfortable with them and see them most days. It depicts the difficulty of accomplishing the simplest tasks, such as picking up the phone when someone texts or calls, cleaning up after yourself, and even taking care of basic human needs like eating or personal hygiene. Times get tough, and your mind isn’t always your friend. It illustrates how a house can feel like a prison when your mind also feels like one
