If you’ve been reading Substream for a while, you may have seen our weekly Take Five column, where we highlight our five favorite songs from the previous week. For the month of December, we wanted to highlight of our love and appreciation of the holidays by doing something special for our readers. So for this month, we present you with a special variation of Take Five with the Holiday Five.
We’ve gotten together with some amazing artists and music industry people to chat about their five favorite holiday movies. This will be more than a weekly column, so be sure to check in every day to see who joined us to talk about their favorite holiday movies.
Our next piece this month comes Chris Jericho — bondafide rockstar in Fozzy and larger-than-life professional wrestler currently signed with AEW. During our recent interview with Jericho, we got the chance to hear his favorite holiday films, which you can find below!
Christmas Vacation
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
It’s a Wonderful Life
Black Christmas
Fat Santa With Muscles
If you’re talking Christmas, I think Christmas Vacation is always up there. I gotta say it’s not quite Christmas, but it is a close one, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is probably the best holiday movie that gets watched every year. I like to go a little bit old school, It’s A Wonderful Life, that one always gets a bit of tears here and there. I gotta go with Black Christmas, a little bit of a horror movie. I just actually, for my podcast, did a bit of a watch along of probably one of the worst Christmas movies I’ve ever seen called Fat Santa with Muscles. It’s Hulk Hogan and — wow — it’s tough to get through, I’ll tell you that much. There’s a lot of good holiday movies and a lot of bad ones too. It made for a great watch-along for my podcast.
