Following the single “100 Bad Days”, AJR have announced that they’ll be releasing their new album, Neotheater, on April 26. Neotheater comes as the follow-up to their 2017 breakthrough release The Click, which spawned the successful singles “Weak” and “Sober Up” (The Click: Deluxe Edition featured the call-to-action hit “Burn The House Down”).

Along with the album announcement, AJR have shared a trailer for Neotheater as well as a new song, “Birthday Party”. In the trailer, they narrate the album creation process, comparing it to the Goldilocks story as they tried to get the songs “just right” – before eventually asking themselves “Who the fuck wants to be ‘just right?.'” “Birthday Party” is all about youthful innocence, taking the position of ignorance to everything from social media to our nation’s political state as being totally bliss.

Neotheater is also available for pre-order here.

This Monday, March 11, AJR played “100 Bad Days” on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where they brought the song’s music video to life. Check out the performance below, and be sure to stay tuned for more updates on all things AJR this week!
