Back on October 12th, 2018, Emarosa frontman Bradley Walden unapologetically proclaimed on Twitter that the band’s post-hardcore era is “dead.” At the time, there was simply speculation about what this meant. While many pointed to the idea that this tweet must be referring to new music, there was an argument to be made that Emarosa has always been more than a “post-hardcore” band.
While it is true that Emarosa has always been more than a post-hardcore band — especially since Walden joined the group to drop Versus back in 2014 and 131 in 2016 — it turns out that his tweet was, in fact, in reference to new music from the band.
Emarosa has now announced that their new album, Peach Club, will be released on February 8th, 2019 via Hopeless Records. It will be the band’s first full-length since 131, and showcases a new, but smooth, shift in sound for the band. To celebrate the news, Emarosa have dropped the first single called “Givin’ Up,” which you can check out below.
If you like what you hear from “Givin’ Up,” you can head here to pre-order Peach Club from the band. Additionally Emarosa is currently out on tour supporting Hands Like Houses — check out these remaining dates below, as well as the details for Peach Club.
