East Coast rock trio VISTA have a brand new single that will see an official release this Friday, January 13 (available via iTunes upon release), but today we have the privilege of streaming the song a bit early for you to enjoy.
“’Henchmen’ is a headfirst dive into part of the musical world we have created,” the band tells Substream. “We wanted to come out strong with this one. We wanted to resonate with people who have been feeling held back, oppressed. But we also wanted to show people very clearly what this iteration of VISTA is capable of sonically. And we’re only just beginning.”
Comparisons to bands like PVRIS and Paramore are likely inevitable but who’s really going to complain about being cataloged with two of the best female-fronted rock bands in the game? VISTA are holding their own with ease and “Henchmen” is proof of that. The single is a big, anthemic, and energetic testament to what this band is capable of and we expect the potential to continue paying off as their name rises to the top; a beautiful view indeed.
To coincide with the official release of “Henchmen,” you can catch VISTA performing with Against The Current, Beach Weather, and CRUISR this Friday, January 13 at Irving Plaza in New York. Tickets and more information are available here.
