2017 is going to be the year of Maggie Rogers. Watch her “Dog Years” video and prepare accordingly

Maggie Rogers Alaska Dog Years

Just when you thought Maggie Rogers was done treating us with pop delights for the year the New York-based singer-songwriter has surprised us once again with her video for “Dog Years.”

Not unlike the video for her breakout single, “Alaska,” the clip for “Dog Years” doubles as a piece of visual performance art that straddles the line between reality and imagination with a gleam in its eye and a flair for the unexpected. Rogers performs the song as if she’s in a place where no one can see, but in fact she is weaving in and out of an all-female rowing team (that just so happens to double as a dance team because no one ever said you had to be just one thing). Experience the carefree fun of “Dog Years,” which was directed by Zia Anger, below:

Rogers also announced plans to release a new EP, entitled Now That The Light Is Fading, on February 17 through Capitol Records. The cover art and track listing are as follows:

Maggie Rogers

EP tracklist:

01 “Color Song”
02 “Alaska”
03 “On + Off”
04 “Dog Years”
05 “Better”

In addition to all of this, you can also make plans to see Maggie Rogers in a city near you shortly after the new year. Her first tour as a major label talent kicks off in March and runs through the middle of April. We like to think she will appear at SXSW as well, but that is just a rumor.
