If you’re not excited for ‘Rogue One’ yet, the new trailer will get you there

After a teaser, sizzle reel, and trailer, you’d think we couldn’t be any more excited for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. You’d be wrong. The second trailer dropped this morning, and we are officially losing it over how great this movie looks.

This trailer gives us our first look at Mads Mikkelsen’s character Galen Erso, father to main character Jyn (Felicity Jones). It seems that Jyn hasn’t seen her father for years, and it’s revealed that Galen is a key contributor in the construction of the Death Star. What follows is a ton of new footage, including our best shot yet of Darth Vader. We also see a bit more of Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker), who has clearly seen a few battles. Speaking of, there are new action sequences galore, focused on the guerrilla tactics and hope that drives the Rebellion. “Make ten men feel like a hundred,” as Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) puts it. All this, plus we finally get a title drop in the footage.

We are absolutely thrilled that Star Wars has returned to glory, and we’ll be first in line on December 16 when Rogue One opens in theaters. You can watch the new trailer below.
