Arizona indie favorites Lydia are still championing their fifth studio album, last year’s Run Wild, and today the band has teamed with Substream to share a Cole Kiburz-directed video for the album’s memorable, sing-along closer, “Georgia.”

With a massively catchy chorus that you simply can’t help but dance and sing along to, “Georgia” is the type of indie-pop jam that you yell out loud with the windows down as you drive around town with no destination in mind. It’s a beautiful escape in musical form and the accompanying visuals follow suit in terms of quality and pure magnetism with a retro-looking video shot in a small, southern Arizona town near the Mexican border. Theme-wise, it comes down to the fact that when you have love, sometimes all you need is that togetherness and the simple things in life.

Speaking about the area where the video was shot, vocalist/guitarist Leighton Antelman says, “It’s more or less a kind of counter culture town tucked away from the world. The people that lived there were beyond nice and talked about the place like it was something magical. It was really fun day of hanging out there and shooting.”

Check out the video below followed by some information on Lydia’s exciting fall tour and some behind the scenes photos from the “Georgia” shoot:

Beginning in Salt Lake City on November 5, Lydia will be heading out a fall tour in continued support of their most recent album, Run Wild, but for this particular trek around the U.S., the band will have an added special treat for fans: Strings.

“We’ve never had strings on stage for a tour, so with that comes some really interesting song/part adjusting,” says Antelman. “It also brings such a cool feel to the room in general. It’s quite peaceful, actually. [These have] been some of the coolest rehearsals we’ve done for a tour that I can remember.” Touching on their appreciation for those who support their work, Antelman adds, “I think the fans can appreciate knowing we’d never bring anything to them that we weren’t 100% behind. This tour won’t be any different from that. The fans of Lydia are overwhelming with how much they support us. We’re more than lucky to have that kind of love attached to the art we create. There’s something there that is so genuine, it’s honestly hard to put my finger on it.”
