Cincinnati, Ohio rock band Actual Villains, whose members have all emerged from the now-defunct Close To Home, have a spirit-lifting treat of a music video—their first-ever in fact—for you to enjoy today.

Supporting their single, “Stay Tonight,” from their self-titled debut EP released earlier this year, the Jamie Allender-directed visuals are both clever and impressive considering the fact that it’s the still-budding band’s inaugural effort when it comes to music videos. The song itself is as catchy as it gets in the rock arena and could easily make a great case for heavy radio play. Fans of bands in the vein of Anberlin and the Classic Crime will surely find something to love here. You can check it out below.

Speaking on the idea behind the video for “Stay Tonight,” vocalist Andrew Deneef says:

“’Stay Tonight’ is about dealing with past regrets and trying to live life to the fullest. The video was meant to be a goofy version of a heist film, where we are more of a Robin Hood-like villain, [giving] nice things to people rather than taking from them.”

Actual Villains can be purchased digitally via iTunes or through the band’s website if you’d like a physical copy. Both options are also available through Amazon.
