By this point, anytime A24 releases a trailer for a film, we’re interested. So far this year we’ve loved The Witch and Swiss Army Man. The company very rarely lets us down, and routinely puts out high quality films. That’s why we’re so excited by the trailer released today for Trespass Against Us.

The film stars Michael Fassbender as Chad Cutler, a family man who also happens to be something of a career criminal. The first half of the trailer makes it seem like it’s a wonderful life, showing Cutler enjoying good times with his wife (Lyndsey Marshal), children, and friend Colby (Brendan Gleeson), who appears to be a mentor to Cutler. The second half gets much more serious, as it’s revealed his wife wants Cutler out of crime for the sake of the family, which forces him to choose between loyalty to his family and loyalty to Colby. They also drive through a building at one point, which last we checked is definitely illegal. The film was selected for the Toronto International Film Festival, and we’re excited to see the finished product for ourselves.

Trespass Against Us was directed by Adam Smith, who has previously directed episodes of Skins (the British version) and Doctor Who. You can watch the trailer for the film below.
