PREMIERE: New Native share video for title track from ‘Swing Low’ EP

European indie rock four-piece New Native recently released a new two-track EP, titled Swing Low, through Los Angeles’ Anchor Eighty Four Records. Today, the band has joined forces with Substream to share a music video for the EP’s stellar title track. Check out the visuals below.

Speaking to Substream about the plan for the video and how it came together considering the distance between members, vocalist/guitarist Michael Hanser says:

“Just shortly after listening to first mixes of ‘Swing Low’ we had the idea of shooting a video that resembles the song’s vibe in its aesthetics. The song has such an intimate and mesmerizing feel that we wanted to emphasize in the video; that’s why we decided to mainly use macro and close-up shots. The video was done entirely DIY and since we all don’t live in the same country anymore, everyone filmed their performances in their own living rooms. Christian (guitar, piano), who also designed the EP’s album artwork, invested a lot of time editing the video and I think he did a great job. We’re all really happy with the result.”

Swing Low is available to stream and purchase digitally through iTunes and Bandcamp. If you’d like to pick up a copy on cassette you can do so here.
