Los Angeles artist Kamtin Mohager, better known in the music world as the Chain Gang Of 1974, has teamed up with Substream to share a brand new single, titled “I Still Wonder”—his first material since 2014. Serving as our first taste of what’s sure to be a new release in the foreseeable future, “I Still Wonder” manages to be both moody and upbeat with a somewhat painful theme and an undeniable, sing-along chorus balancing out the four-and-a-half-minute cut. With its characteristically ’80s vibe, you’ll find yourself dancing, but slightly detached as you reflect on and dissect past relationships. You can stream “I Still Wonder” below via its very colorful visual.

“Sometimes you have no control over who you fall in love with,” Mohager begins when asked about the inspiration for his newest single. “Even when you’ve been living with certain morals for your entire life, someone can come around and change everything. I fell for a girl that I wasn’t supposed to fall for. ‘I Still Wonder’ focuses on infidelity, and how physical desire can slowly transform into love.” He continues, “The guilt will always win, leaving the relationship torn, but with time your mind will always go back and think, “What if?” A lot of the time, due to fear, there is never any closure. This song touches on that.”
