Harry Potter is one of the most beloved franchises on the planet. Mention it to any fan and they’ll quickly light up in conversation. While the movies were sometimes a mixed bag of quality, they were all, at the very least, serviceable in capturing the magic that existed in J.K. Rowling’s books. We now have our best look at the upcoming return to the world of Harry Potter with the new trailer for Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, courtesy of The Ellen Show.

The trailer gives us a brief rundown of what we already know: Scores of magical creatures have been released into 1920s New York City, and Newt Scamander (Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne) must collect them. Along the way he enlists No-Maj (the American term for Muggle) Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler) and witch Tina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston) to help him, and he’ll definitely need the help. There’s a huge variety of creatures on display, all of which look absolutely fantastic and help give the trailer a sense of wonder akin to the original movies. The creatures aren’t the only challenge for Newt, though. Colin Farrell seems incredibly menacing as wizard Percival Graves, and the magical destruction seen in the trailer could be reasonably attributed to him. On a lighter note, we get to see Ron Perlman as goblin Gnarlack, which is an absolute delight.
