Local Natives debut new song “Coins,” release tickets for NA tour dates

Local Natives Sunlit Youth

Next week marks the release of Local Natives‘ new album, Sunlit Youth, and anticipation is at a fever pitch. This week, the band not only gave us another taste of the album with “Coins,” they announced tour dates for the fall.

“Coins” is a mellow, laid-back track with a smooth, melodic guitar backing some excellent crooning. The lyric video, done by Adam Fuchs, is also cool, with kaleidoscopic colors underlaying the words of the song.

The big news of the day was the ticket release, with the band putting the dates on Facebook earlier. The tour starts in Tempe, Arizona on September 14 and ends with a two-day stint at Terminal 5 in New York on October 25 and 26. If that’s not exciting enough for you, a large chunk of the dates include a download of Sunlit Youth with a ticket purchase. Tickets and more info are available now on the band’s website.

Sunlit Youth is out September 9 through Loma Vista Recordings and Concord Music Group. Check out both the lyric video for “Coins” and the tour dates below. Once you’re sufficiently amped up by both of those things, be sure to grab a copy of Substream #53 for our review of Sunlit Youth.
