Regina Spektor announces new album, shares lead single “Bleeding Heart”

Regina Spektor

We’ve got some exciting music news to usher you into this weekend. Regina Spektor, whose last album was 2012’s What We Saw from the Cheap Seats, is returning in September with her seventh studio album, entitled Remember Us To Life. You don’t have to wait at all to hear this new music from Spektor, as she also released the first single off the album, “Bleeding Heart.”

“Bleeding Heart” is a light, airy tune that finds Spektor in top form when it comes to both performance and songwriting. “Never never mind your bleeding heart” she sings on the hook, some instances of which are soft and serene, and some of which are decidedly more pointed, with the percussion coming to the forefront. Spektor also shows off her upper vocal register during the song’s fantastic extended coda, set to a beautiful piano. You can stream “Bleeding Heat” below.

Remember Us To Life is set for release on September 30 through Sire/Warner Bros. Records. The album will be available in both CD and clear vinyl, with options for a lithograph included with each format on Spektor’s website. The album is also available digitally on iTunes.
