’90s alternative/indie rock is alive and well in the Pacific Northwest—at least if Seattle trio Sloucher has anything to say about it. The band’s forthcoming effort, Certainty, is thrilling in that it’ll bring Weezer, Pavement, and Elliott Smith to mind throughout the course of its near 30-minute runtime. Sloucher stand on their own without the crutches of being tethered to the luminary tags of old, however, and to put it simply—Certainty is one of the best albums the indie rock genre has had the honor of being applied to for some time.
Substream has the privilege of exclusively premiering Certainty in its seven-track entirety. You can experience it in a perpetual loop below. The album will be officially released on July 15 through Swoon Records. Digital and physical pre-orders are available through Bandcamp.
