PREMIERE: PHIN celebrate selfless love with huge indie rock single, “You’re Saving Me”

Nashville indie rock quintet PHIN have mostly kept off the grid since their 2013 debut EP, Those Killers. Today, however, the band has teamed with Substream to resurface in a big way as they share their newest single, “You’re Saving Me.” The track was produced by Ed Spear (Lake Street Dive, JEFF The Brotherhood) and serves as the first song in an ambitious ongoing series to take place over the next year. PHIN will release one song each month for the next 12 months with all the tracks coming together in July of 2017 as PHIN’s debut full-length release, aptly titled 12 Months.

On the idea behind this particular track that we’re sharing today, vocalist Toby Haydel explains the following:

“Writing ‘You’re Saving Me’ was a way to say thank you to everyone who chooses to live their life selflessly and use their influence to love others. It is amazing that lives can be saved by simple acts of kindness, and we believe acknowledging this can help inspire the pursuit of selfless love.”

“You’re Saving Me” will be available to download this Friday, July 29. In the meantime, stream the track below and let us know what you think.
