Bonfires surprise listeners with new EP ‘A Reason to Get Home’

What better way to celebrate the passing of another monotonous work day than with the release of a surprise EP from Chicago pop-punk/emo quartet Bonfires? The band released A Reason to Get Home—a five-track collection of their latest offerings—earlier this morning, independently on their Bandcamp. The effort is available for purchase now.

Featuring guest vocals from Real Friends guitarist Dave Knox, the release marks the first with lead vocals coming from Brad Harvey behind the mic, after the departure of former vocalist Zech Pluister (Sleep On It) earlier this year, who sang on the band’s most recent EP, The Way This Ends. You can stream the new EP here. If clicking links isn’t your style, however, the band also released a music video for the EP’s first single, “Colorblind,” which you can watch below.

You can also catch Bonfires on the road this summer with Oklahoma pop-punk four-piece Fossil Youth, with dates scattered all over the Midwest and East Coast.
