Salt Lake City five-piece Wearing Thin peddle an alluringly emotional brand of hardcore in the vein of Touche Amore, Frameworks, and early-era Pianos Become The Teeth. One of the band’s most recent singles, titled “Company” and taken from their recent split with Keyes, is essentially the paragon of all the qualities their sound has to offer. Impassioned screaming meets post-rock-inspired elegance and it all makes for a beautifully intense experience.
Substream has teamed with Wearing Thin to share their brand new video for the single, which you can view below. Directed by Dominic Trujillo, the visuals mirror the aforementioned potency of the track itself with an intimate performance—simple yet wholly effective.
Vocalist Tylor Blackburn submitted the following when asked about his band’s new video:
“‘Company’ is a special song for us. It was the first song we wrote as a band where we stepped out of our comfort zone and experimented with different sounds. To have it on our split with Keyes and have the video be from our recent tour with them makes it even more meaningful.”
