Three cities, six sold-out shows and thousands of screaming fans: A week with the Used

The Used

Utah rockers the Used are currently in the midst of a hugely successful North American tour in which they play both their 2002 self-titled debut and its 2004 follow-up, In Love And Death, over the course of two nights in each city in which they stop. While the Used’s new guitarist Justin Shekoski (ex-Saosin) did not perform on these albums (neither did longtime Used drummer Dan Whitesides, for that matter), it didn’t stop Bert McCracken & Co. from delivering faithful, electric performances of both Gold-selling albums to thousands of fans each night.

Substream photographer Jim Trocchio was invited along for the ride and found himself shooting six straight shows, from Sayreville, New Jersey (April 29-30) to Philadelphia (May 3-4) to Boston (May 6-7). Here’s just a small sampling of the craziness he saw throughout that week.
