Connecticut foursome Sorority Noise has won over thousands since their 2013 formation with two straight albums of intensely cathartic and incredibly catchy emo-punk, songs that bounce between Jimmy Eat World and Weezer as well as anything the Kinsella family has ever created. To that end, they’re releasing a new EP, It Kindly Stopped For Me, that is entirely acoustic and represents a brand new side of the band. Today, we’re debuting a live performance video of the EP’s opening number, “Either Way,” filmed on a rooftop in Philadelphia this March as part of the ongoing This Has Got To Stop Sessions series. Frontman Cam Boucher explains:

“This song is a representation of my conscious effort to improve my own self and the things wrong with my head intertwined with the realization that it is so important to talk to others about your own self doubt. I like to think that my friends who I lost regret their disappearance but I will choose to live my life as a continuation of theirs cut short.”

Sorority Noise’s It Kindly Stopped For Me EP will be released April 22 via Topshelf Records and can be pre-ordered here.
