Jordan Geiger has been an active member of North Carolina’s underground music scene for quite some time, playing in Des Ark, Shearwater and others, as well as releasing his own music under the moniker Hospital Ships. For his new album, the John Congleton-produced The Past Is Not A Flood, Geiger temporarily relocated to Austin, Texas, to collaborate with Swans percussionist Thor Harris. He has taken it one step further with this gorgeous reinterpretation of album track “Oh My Light.” Geiger explains:

“I asked Thor Harris and his new band Thor And Friends to create a song in B-minor and film it. I then adapted ‘Oh My Light’ to it and recorded myself singing and playing along. After a little editing, this video is the result.”

Hospital Ships’ The Past Is Not A Flood is available now via Graveface Records.
