The digital age has made it possible for likeminded individuals from all over the planet to work together to create something bigger and far more important than themselves. Perhaps the finest example of this origin in action is Deadwinter, the powerful rock band behind the incredible Destinations EP that was released back in January of this year. The band wrote, recorded, and pretty much did everything else involved in piecing their critically-acclaimed record together before they had ever even met in person. Once they did, they knew their work had not been in vain.
Today, we are thrilled to be hosting the world premiere of “OAK,” which was initially written and recorded for Destinations, but ultimately did not make the final track list. The song is a driving and pulsating rock juggernaut that is emotionally deep and musically heavy. It right in line with the material off Destinations, but it does so in a way that adds just enough new ideas to the mix to keep fans on their toes. You can stream the song below.
Deadwinter have already added “OAK” to their bandcamp page, so those interested in supporting the band further can do so by purchasing the track as soon as they desire. While there, we highly encourage you to also purchase Destinations if you have yet to do so. Deadwinter are redefining what it means to be a ‘band,’ and we’re excited to see what they do next.
