Jawbox frontman J. Robbins announces full-band solo tour

Acclaimed musician/producer J. Robbins will hit the road this May for a brief solo tour and has assembled a full band to bring his back catalog to life. The former Jawbox frontman [pictured above left] has recruited guitarist Devin Ocampo (Faraquet, The Effects), bassist Brooks Harlan (Office of Future Plans) and drummer Peter Moffett (Government Issue) for this four-date tour, which will find Robbins & Co. performing new material as well as “a variety of old songs,” according to the singer. Given that his songwriting catalog stretches back nearly three decades between Jawbox, Burning Airlines, Channels and more, there’s a pretty good chance these shows are going to be highly memorable. You can find the dates below, and if you live within a reasonable distance of any of them, I strongly recommend going as J. Robbins tours very infrequently these days.

5/4 – Columbus OH @ Big Room Bar w/Bicentennial Bear and FACE
5/5 – Louisville KY @ the New Vintage w/Black God, the Richie White Orchestra, Skull Practitioners and Shellshag
5/6 – Chicago IL @ Metro w/Bob Mould
5/7 – Pittsburgh PA @ Howlers w/Broughtons Rules, Barons, Cyrus Gold
