Columbus, Ohio’s Everyone Leaves isn’t trying to be something they’re not—hell, the band uses two words to describe themselves on Facebook: “Rasp/Angst.” The emo quintet is honest and deliberate with their songs, especially new track “Little One,” which Jacob Bialosky says is inspired by his mom. Today, we’re debuting the music video for “Little One,” taken from the band’s upcoming split EP with Hot Mulligan. The clip documents the band’s recent Midwestern tour, from gobbling down burgers at Kuma’s Corner to playing shows in basements and clubs to small but enthusiastic audiences. Bialosky explains:

“This song is about the complicated relationship I have with my mother and all the ways in which I wish I could fix it.”

Everyone Leaves’ split with Hot Mulligan will be released March 11 on Little Heart Records and Save Your Generation Records and can be pre-ordered here.
