PREMIERE: Moon Tooth’s “Igneous” sounds like Mastodon f*cking Living Colour while Gojira watches

Moon Tooth

Make no bones about it: Long Island quartet Moon Tooth is on a level of their own. On their debut full-length, Chromaparagon, the band deals in an aggressive and progressive form of extremely hard rock that tiptoes into groove-metal but isn’t afraid to open up into widescreen choruses. Today, we’re premiering “Igneous,” and as our headline so eloquently put it, it sounds like Mastodon fucking Living Colour with Gojira watching in the corner. Frontman John Carbone elaborates:

“‘Igneous’ is about bravado. Tapping into the fiery passion of one’s true purpose to overcome any obstacle. Utilizing confidence and pride in a positive way, as means of self-encouragement.”

Moon Tooth’s Chromaparagon will be released February 5 and can be pre-ordered here.
