PREMIERE: Hear Aspiga’s “Eucalyptus Nights” from their upcoming split with By Surprise

Split 7-inches work best in one of two ways: Either the two bands are from very, very far away (think the Less Than Jake/Kemuri split) or the two bands are from the same exact place (the Alkaline Trio/Smoking Popes split comes to mind). Aspiga‘s new split 7-inch falls into the latter category: The New Jersey punk trio is sharing a slab of wax with their NJ scenemates By Surprise. But instead of partnering with Aspiga’s label Paper + Plastick (or By Surprise’s label Topshelf Records), the bands are putting the release out through California’s Asian Man Records, making this a true coast-to-coast love affair. Today, we’re stoked to premiere “Eucalyptus Nights,” the second of two songs Aspiga contributes to the limited-edition vinyl release.

Aspiga’s split 7-inch with By Surprise will be released January 15 via Asian Man Records and can be pre-ordered here.

Aspiga’s next show is with the Menzingers at the Boneyard in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on February 4 (details).
