Less than a month ago, on November 13, terrorists attacked multiple locations in Paris, including La Bataclan, a theater where California rock band Eagles Of Death Metal was in the middle of a performance. Nearly 100 people died in the venue, including the band’s merch manager Nick Alexander, though the band members miraculously avoided serious injury. Now, the band has returned to the stage—in Paris, no less. EODM was invited by U2 to be the special guest of the band’s concert at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris last night, brought to the stage by Bono & Co. Eagles Of Death Metal performed one cover song, Patti Smith’s “People Have The Power,” as well as their original song “I Love You All The Time,” from their new album Zipper Down. You can watch videos of both performances below.
It is unclear when Eagles Of Death Metal will return to the road as a touring unit; however, in the band’s recent interview with Vice, they vow it will happen sooner than later.
