PREMIERE: Threads’ “Left Empty” is one minute of sludgy, awesome hardcore

When Broken Rim Records announced their impending split 7-inch release between Great Collapse and Threads, much of the light was shined on the former band—after all, Great Collapse is fronted by Strike Anywhere frontman Thomas Barnett and also includes current and former members of Rise Against, Set Your Goals, Death By Stereo and more. But West Virginia hardcore band Threads more than holds their own on their side of the split, including the song we’re premiering today, “Left Empty.” In just one minute, the band channels hardcore both sludgy and heart-pounding, with a real sinister guitar lead to boot. Threads’ split 7-inch with Great Collapse will be released January 29, 2016, via Broken Rim Records and can be pre-ordered here.
