PREMIERE: The Anniversary’s Josh Berwanger sings about love and mental illness in “Her Crystal Room”

Sometimes, it seems like the Anniversary is the only turn-of-the-century emo band not getting back together for a bunch of shows or getting their back catalog reissued on 180-gram vinyl, and that’s a shame: The Vagrant Records band made two killer records and were always a force to be reckoned with live. But former frontman Josh Berwanger is still making music under his own name, and today, we’re thrilled to bring you one of his new songs, titled “Her Crystal Room.” The singer/songwriter explains the story behind the track:

“‘Her Crystal Room’ is a song about mental illness and being in love with that person so much, but knowing there is nothing you can do but yearn for them and hope they can get better.”

Berwanger’s Demonios will be released December 11 via High Dive Records and can be pre-ordered here.
