Further Seems Forever announces ‘How To Start A Fire’ tour dates

Further Seems Forever ca. 2003

Fans of pioneering emocore act Further Seems Forever were surprised when the band was announced as performing on A Day To Remember’s Self-Help Festival in March with their How To Start A Fire-era lineup, which meant with vocalist Jason Gleason—someone who hadn’t performed with the band in more than a decade. Well, fans, don’t worry: Self-Help Fest isn’t the only show FSF will be playing. The band announced eight more dates in 2016 surrounding Self-Help Fest. Opening each show will be Florida indie rock band Kids.

It is presumed that Further Seems Forever will play How To Start A Fire in its entirety at these shows, but the band has yet to actually confirm that. It’s also not entirely clear who exactly will be in the band, as guitarist Derick Cordoba played and toured on the album but has not been a part of Further Seems Forever’s ongoing reunion; similarly, Brandon Swanson (later of I Am The Avalanche) was the touring guitarist for FSF during that time period but has also not participated in any of Further Seems Forever’s reunion activities. Regardless, Jason Gleason will be there, and that’s pretty dang exciting in and of itself.
