Bleeding Through will reunite to headline benefit fest for the Ghost Inside

It’s been more than a month since the Ghost Inside’s gruesome bus accident that took the lives of two people and landed nine others in the hospital. The band hasn’t offered much in the way of an update on their conditions since late November, only saying that everyone is stable and slowly recovering. In the meantime, the punk and hardcore community has come together to help the Ghost Inside face their mounting medical bills, first through a GoFundMe page, then through a series of benefit shows and merch sales. Now, some of southern California’s most notable metalcore and hardcore bands are suiting up for Friends Fest, a two-day festival taking place February 12-13 at the Chain Reaction in Anaheim, California, that will serve as a fundraiser for the Ghost Inside. Among the bands reuniting for the event are Bleeding Through, Taken and Final Fight; also performing are A Dying Dream, Runaway Kids and more bands TBA. This will be Bleeding Through’s first performance since breaking up in August 2014.

Bleeding Through frontman Brandan Schieppati commented on the impending reunion performance, saying, “BT is playing a show to help raise money for our friends in The Ghost Inside pay for medical bills. Friends have each other’s backs. BT is not getting back together anytime in the foreseeable future. This is about our friends needing help. We hope that people support this show and help raises funds for TGI. This is not an attempt at a comeback. I feel BT gave enough.”
